TECH TIP: Key stuck in ignition

Symptom: Key stuck in ignition.

Repair: Check the park micro-switch located on the left-hand side of the shifter. Inspect the switch lever to see if it is bent. This switch sends the “Park” input to the BCM. If the switch lever is bent, carefully straighten it so it is at a 45 degree angle with the body of the switch.
