TRANSMISSION SHIFTING ISSUES AT LOW MILEAGE
On some 2014MY Soul vehicles the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) can illuminate accompanied by various DTC(s), including P0729 (6th gear synchronization error is detected), P0734 (4th gear synchronization error is detected), P0735 (5th gear synchronization error is detected) along with possible transmission shifting concerns. If a vehicle exhibits these conditions, verify the PCM P/N (location shown below) using EPC to ensure that it is correct for the VIN and the engine size and correct, if required.
