SUBJECT:
AVN HEAD-UNIT AND/OR MONITOR REPLACEMENT
When performing a replacement of the AVN head unit or monitor on Cadenza vehicles, make sure to disconnect the negative (-) terminal from the battery before conducting any repairs. All power should be discontinued to the AVN monitor when unplugged from the AVN head unit. If power is supplied to AVN monitor while disconnected from the AVN head unit, the screen may be damaged. Screen damage may not be apparent at the time of repair, however, a white screen may occur at initial start-up, after the vehicle has been at rest, and may deteriorate over time (see image below).
*NOTICE
Make sure to always record the customer’s radio presets before conducting any audio repairs and to restore them upon completion of the repairs.
