BATTERY REPLACEMENT – VENT HOSE MODIFICATION
When replacing a battery for K900 utilizing P/N 37110-H9000U; a slight modification to the vent elbo w/hose will be needed in order to properly secure the vent hose assembly to the replacement battery, as outlined below.
- Locate and remove the original vent hose assembly from the battery being replaced.
- Remove the elbow from the vent hose.
- Use a pair of side cutters to remove three sides from the vent elbow flange.
- Use the side cutters to trim the end of the vent hose by 6mm (1/4”) mm.
- Install the vent elbow onto the vent hose. Note: Make sure the modified end of the elbow is installed into vent hose.
- Reinstall the vent hose assembly into the vent hole nearest the positive terminal of the replacement battery.
